According to a report by Variety, Mufasa is expected to have earned $122.2 million by the end of this weekend, passing the $100 million milestone with ease. That total can largely be attributed to international gains, as it earned $87.2 million overseas. A comparatively paltry $35 million came from domestic audiences. Sonic 3 captured the majority of domestic viewers, as it opened in first place with $62 million.
