Ms. Lauryn Hill announced a 21-date international tour where her band, the Fugees will perform as well as rising rapper YG Marley
, and reuniting the Fugees for that run of dates as well. Today , Hill announced 21 additional dates featuring the Fugees, along with an opening set from Hill’s son, rising rapper YG Marley. The tour kicks off on Aug. 9 in Tampa and the U.S. leg concludes in her home state of New Jersey at the PNC Bank Arts Center on Sept. 21. The European leg takes place in October.due to a vocal strain.
“This can be detrimental to the body when taken in large amounts over long periods of time,” she said of the steroid’s impact. “In order to prevent any long term negative affect on my voice and my body, I need to take time off to allow for real vocal recovery so that I can discontinue the medication completely.”
At the time when announced the postponement, Hill praised her Fugees bandmates . Reuniting them, she said at that time, was “powerful and amazing—those who’ve witnessed it can testify. The tour itself reminds us the artists, and the audiences alike of earlier, perhaps less complicated times when ‘It could all be so simple…’ or ‘Ready Or Not, here I come!’ were on repeat on the airwaves. Simply put, classic.
