MOUNTAIN VIEW – A nearly 25-year veteran of the Mountain View Police Department is taking over as the city’s next top cop, the city announced Wednesday.
“Mike’s passion for public service and decades of experience as a leader within the Mountain View Police Department will be invaluable for enhancing the strong relationships and trust we have built with the community,” City Manager Kimbra McCarthy said. Over the years, Canfield racked up accolades including the Distinguished Service Medal and the Mothers Against Drunk Driving Hero Award, according to the city.
