Daniel Navia was heading home from the movies when a wrong-way driver in a pickup hit him head-on, police say. His family told ABC13 he had just accepted a new job after earning his degree.

According to court records, a witness saw the suspect swerving and crossing the median into wrong-way traffic. The witness told authorities that while she was waiting for police to arrive, the driver tried to reverse his truck, but it was stuck because of debris.Navia's family wants to raise awareness and told ABC13 the driver should have never been going the wrong way.
