It was warm enough in Alabama on Sunday to reach record territory in two cities.
Mobile and Montgomery both added to their record books on Sunday, according to the National Weather Service.Montgomery’s high was 83 degrees, which tied the record last reached in 1962.The weather service is forecasting highs to again climb into the 70s and 80s through the week -- which will also mark the first few days of meteorological spring .
This week’s warmth may come with a price, however. The weather service is monitoring the possibility of severe weather moving into Alabama on Thursday into Friday.
