The Huntsville-Madison County area had 2,610 homes on the market last month, according to new data from Valley MLS.
With more homes on the market and mortgage rates creeping down, potential buyers could see more choice in fast-growing Huntsville and Athens.
That’s a 16.6% increase compared with June’s 2,237 and up nearly 62% over July 2023. Athens and Limestone County saw a similar trend, where the inventory of 944 homes was up 15.3% over June and up 77% compared with the previous July. “I have seen a pickup in activity this week due to 30-year interest rates coming down,” said realtor Matt Curtis. “This has gotten some buyers off of the sidelines.”These railroad crossings are the most dangerous in Alabama
