The sequel to the 2018 hit movie 'I Can Only Imagine' is in production.
I Can Only Imagine 2, the sequel to the 2018 biographical drama, is set to star Milo Ventimiglia as singer/songwriter Tim Timmons. The film is directed by Brent McCorkle and Andrew Erwin, with a screenplay also written by McCorkle. Ventimiglia joins returning cast members John Michael Finley as Bart Millard, Dennis Quaid as Arthur, and Trace Adkins as MercyMe’s manager Scott Brickell. The sequel is produced by Millard, Erwin, Kevin Downes, Cindy Bond, Daryl Lefever, and Joshua Walsh.
It is a production by Lionsgate and Kingdom Story Company. The original film, which centered around the life of MercyMe lead singer Bart Millard, was a commercial success, grossing $86 million worldwide against a budget of $7 million.
