Mike Rowe warned that millions of men have left the workforce and spend time watching television instead of looking for jobs, suggesting government handouts were to blame.
On 'CBS Mornings' on Thursday, Mike Rowe warned about the decline in men working in the U.S., and pointed to the government as a 'giant parent' helping men to not 'fail.'
When asked by CBS' Tony Dokoupil how these men, aged between 25-54, were surviving without jobs, the Emmy-winning"It's almost as though some entity is paying them. It's almost as if somebody is not letting them fail… some giant parent," Rowe said. But Karla Trotman, CEO of Electro Soft, said that many were dropping out of the workforce due to a cultural shift in attitudes towards work.
