A day after Dallas fell 44-19, the pass rusher took accountability for some of the team’s miscues on his latest podcast episode.

Parsons said the Cowboys didn’t uphold the standard they set during a dominant Week 1 win at Cleveland.
“I keep telling you guys, complementary football is so big in the NFL. Special teams has to be clicking, offense has to be clicking. Defense has to be clicking. We just weren’t clicking defensively.”Parsons also stood up for Dak Prescott, saying the team didn’t help its quarterback. Prescott finished the day going 27-for-39 through the air for 293 yards, a touchdown and two interceptions., mainly struggling to slow down Alvin Kamara and the Saints’ offense.
“Mike Zimmer could just call the calls. People are going to get this twisted all the time. Are you going to get caught in a better call sometimes? Absolutely. That’s football,” Parsons said. “You aren’t always going to have the perfect call for every offensive call. Did we get caught in one of those? Yes. But throughout the game, it had nothing to do with the system. It has everything to do with the players.
