La tormenta tropical Pilar, el décimosexto ciclón con nombre de la temporada, se formó la noche de este domingo al sur de la desembocadura del río Suchiate, frontera natural entre México y Guatemala, informó el Servicio Meteorológico Nacional (SMN).
'Se ha formado la tormenta tropical Pilar a partir de la depresión tropical diecinueve-E, su centro se localiza frente a las costas de Guatemala', apuntó el SMN en su comunicado de las 21:00 horas Sin embargo, agregó que 'su amplia circulación genera lluvias muy fuertes a puntuales intensas, además rachas fuertes de viento en el sureste de México'.
Ante estas condiciones, el organismo llamó a la población a extremar precauciones en las zonas de los estados mencionados por lluvias, viento y oleaje y atender las recomendaciones emitidas por las autoridades de Protección Civil.
