A mega pet adoption event is happening at the George R. Brown Convention Center on Oct. 21 and 22. More than 1,500 pets will be looking for their fur-ever home.
HOUSTON — Hey, animal lovers! If you're looking for a four-legged furbaby to be a part of your family, then we have some good news for you.on Saturday and Sunday, and there will be more than 1,500 dogs and cats looking for their fur-ever homes. “The energy and excitement at these Mega Adoption events are incredible, because, by the end of the day, the lives of so many pets and people are about to change and all for the better,” said Petco Love president, Susanne Kogut.
Adoption fees are $35 for any pet, which includes spaying/neutering, current vaccinations and microchipping. If you plan on adopting a dog, you should bring a leash and collar, though some will be available for purchase. If you plan on adopting a cat, you should bring a carrier. Cardboard carries will be available for purchase.
A limited number of fast passes are available for purchase for adopters who want early access to the event.
