Massive search underway for missing California sisters
A massive search in Northern California for two missing sisters, ages 8 and 5, went into its third day on Sunday and the local sheriff said investigators have not ruled out any possibilities for their disappearance, including foul play.
"We have no indication right now that there is foul play involved. We've been inside the residence. The family is fully cooperative. We don't see a crime scene, we don't expect a crime there," Honsal said during a news conference on Saturday afternoon."But we're not ruling out anything now." Honsal said the mother of the young girls noticed they were missing about 3 p.m. on Friday from their home in Benbow, near the Eel River and the famed Julia Morgan Redwood Grove, and went looking for them with neighbors and friends before calling the sheriff's office three hours later.
On Saturday, 10 teams, comprised of officers and K-9 units from different law enforcement agencies, conducted a wide search on the ground and were aided by a U.S. Coast Guard helicopter with infrared equipment and a National Guard Blackhawk helicopter.
