He was one of Charles Xavier's original X-Men team and took on the name Angel. However, Warren's life took a seriously dark turn as the Marvel Comics years went on after he was captured by the one and only Apocalypse. Apocalypse believes in a 'Survival of the Fittest' nature, and he transformed Angel into a ruthless and deadly mutant, taking on a new name, Archangel. Since then, he has become a key member of various X-Men teams, including the X-Factor and the X-Force.
