The highly-anticipated film stars Robert De Niro, Al Pacino, and more

“It’s an incredible honor thathas been selected as the opening night of the New York Film Festival. I greatly admire the bold and visionary selections that the festival presents to audiences year after year,” Scorsese said in a statement. “The festival is critical to bringing awareness to cinema from around the world. I am grateful to have the opportunity to premiere my new picture in New York alongside my wonderful cast and crew.

The festival, presented by Film at Lincoln Center, will host the world premiere screening at Alice Tully Hall. Tickets will go on sale September 8.has not yet been set, though it will be released this year—presumably in the fall, so it can compete in the awards race and net a big return on its reported $175 million budget. Netflix is reportedly going old school with its release model for this one as well.
