The bogus story seems to have been concocted based on the rumors that both Carey and Minaj have issues with Lopez. Carey took an infamous dig at Lopez onin 2015 when she told host Andy Cohen, “I don’t know her.” The following year, however, Carey returned to the show and explained she doesn’t know Lopez personally, but didn’t mean she’s never heard of her, as some interpreted the comment.
