Margaret Qualley graced the Croisette at the Cannes Film Festival with the dancerly presence of someone with a lifetime of ballet training. The actor joined her castmates—including Emma Stone, Hunter Schafer, Jesse Plemons, and Joe Alwyn—for the premiere of their film Kinds of Kindness, from director Yorgos Lanthimos. “I’m feeling so grateful to be here at Cannes with this wonderful cast,” Qualley tells Vogue. “Having a film in the competition is so exciting.
Virginie did a ballet inspired couture show that was just absolutely gorgeous. Me and my stylist Patricia Villirillo both loved this one in particular.” When searching for a premiere look, the actor is unfussy. She only has one non-negotiable: the dress has to fit her like a glove. “For me it’s all about the way something fits you, and so that’s why it’s so incredible to wear couture, because it’s all been made so specifically for the body.
