Hundreds of people celebrated Mardi Gras this year, enjoying the festive atmosphere and, most importantly, the warm weather. Attendees, many from colder states, expressed their delight at escaping the snow and embracing the sunshine.

This year’s celebration had a Mardi Gras theme. And the hundreds who attended were happy to join the party.

“Well, it was a big experience. We enjoyed it. We got a lot of Trinkets. My friends from Michigan and Wisconsin are here to enjoy the weather and have a good time,” Denny Noffsinger said. “My in-laws came down here for 15 years. We’re down here now. So it’s a good time down here,” Matt Clark said. But it was the weather that made it worth it.

“The sun is out. You can’t beat this. You can’t get this in Michigan right now. All it is is snowing. You got that white stuff on the ground. We don’t want that. That’s why we come down here. To enjoy our time. We got a bunch of good stuff here, so we’re doing good,” Clark said.
