Concept art for The Mandalorian season 3 shows Grogu playing with space crabs. The marketing push for The Mandalorian season 3 is in full swing, with Lucasfilm releasing a string of clips and TV spots. Most of the promotions seem aimed at viewers who didn't check out The Book of Boba Fett, and who may therefore be quite confused to see the alien called Grogu reunited with Din Djarin.
SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY Lucasfilm has released another piece of concept art showing Grogu in The Mandalorian season 3. Published in Empire Magazine, the concept art also features a race of space grabs, which Grogu appears to think are toys. The concept art clearly evokes memories of earlier seasons, in which Grogu interacted delightfully with other species - but sometimes in more disturbing ways.Will Grogu Try To Play With The Space Crabs - Or Eat Them? Grogu can be as precocious as any toddler, and his Force power makes him rather dangerous.
It's possible, then, that the space snails Grogu is playing with in The Mandalorian season 3's concept art will wind up in his mouth. Even if they don't, though, a toddler's games can be rather destructive; a recent Marvel Studios short featuring Baby Groot saw him interact with smaller creatures in a similar way, and it didn't work out well for the smaller species. It wouldn't be a surprise to see the space crabs try to get as far away from Baby Yoda as possible.
Fortunately, Grogu and Din Djarin have been reunited, meaning Baby Yoda is now being watched over by his found-father figure. The concept art gives no hint of the plot of The Mandalorian season 3, but it's notable that Din is stood behind his foundling. It will be exciting to see their relationship develop - and Din try to discourage Grogu from snacking on everything.
