Manchester Airport slams 'reckless and irresponsible' YouTuber who filmed himself riding on top of lift
A video posted on YouTube account @LiftSurferRYEGI appears to show the person standing on top of the elevator as it goes up and down the lift shaft. Announcements can be heard on the video as the doors open to let people inside.
A disclaimer on the person's YouTube page states: "WARNING: Do NOT copy any activities you see in my videos. The dangers of lift surfing involve crushing, electrocution, entrapment, serious injury and death. Other videos on their account include lift surfing in South Tower Deansgate, which they claim is the tallest building in Manchester at 200 metres tall, as well as Nine Acre Court in Salford, as well as sky rise buildings in London.
