Former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort pleads not guilty to 16 additional New York state charges including residential mortgage fraud
NEW YORK—Paul Manafort pleaded not guilty to 16 criminal charges Thursday in a case in which state prosecutors have accused the former Trump campaign chairman of falsifying business records to illegally obtain millions of dollars in residential mortgages.
Mr. Manafort, 70 years old, appeared in state court wearing handcuffs and navy-blue prison scrubs. His lawyers helped the former campaign chairman, who walked with a limp, slowly make his way to the defense table.
