A man was shot during a carjacking late Wednesday near an apartment complex in southwest Houston, officials said. Officers around 9:30 p.m. got a call about a man who had been struck in the hand and grazed in the shoulder in the 2700 block of West Bellfort Boulevard, Lt. Ignacio Izaguirre of the Houston Police Department told On Scene reporters.
The man had just arrived at an apartment complex when he was confronted by two masked men, who asked for his Toyota sedan before firing at him twice, Izaguirre said. The man fled and hailed a passing Metro bus.The two men left with the man’s sedan, Izaguirre said.
