OGDEN — Almost seven years after a toddler was killed in Roy, a 28-year-old man has been ordered to spend at least 25 years and up to life in prison for her murder.
Genesis was at least a year old. Official documents have conflicting reports about exactly how many months old she was. On Oct. 12, 2016, Roy police were dispatched to a home at 4995 S. 3100 West where Genesis was reported to be breathing abnormally and unconscious, per an arrest warrant. Ramirez-Sasaki, who was dating Genesis's mother, was babysitting Genesis and her 3-year-old brother while their mother was at work, per the warrant. Ramirez-Sasaki told police Genesis had fallen the day before but acted normal after falling.
