A man wanted on suspicion of soliciting sexual acts from an 11-year-old barricaded himself inside a Centreville home for four hours beginning late Friday before being taken into custody, according to a
SWAT officers arrived just before 10 p.m. Friday to the 13800 block of Fount Beattie Court to arrest Cody Christopher Flynn and to conduct a search, according to the news release, which said detectives from FCPD’s Child Exploitation Unit had received information leading them to believe Flynn was in contact with the child.
Officers told Flynn, 35, to exit the home but he refused, police said. As the barricade situation progressed, officers from the police department’s special operations division, crisis negotiations team and crisis response team were called to help.to get local news, weather and expert advice — where to eat, where to drink and how to get around — every weekday.Officers took Flynn into custody around 2 a.m. Saturday, the release said.
police said he was released quickly and taken to Fairfax County Adult Detention Center, where he is being held with no bond.
