VAN BUREN, N.Y. — A 24-year-old Van Buren, N.Y. man has been accused of extorting central New York children after he hacked into their social media and stole naked photos of them, police said.
Louis E. Frantangelo Jr., 24, was arrested and charged April 28 after the FBI, town of Manlius police and New York State Police executed a search warrant at his home, the State Police announced Monday. In one instance, the suspect identified the location of the middle school child and parked outside the child’s residence, police said.
State Police said his mug shot photo was released because they believe he traveled to meet one middle school-aged child and may have traveled to meet others in the Syracuse area.
