A resident reported at 12:04 a.m. Aug. 11 that while trying to get an unwanted guest to leave her home, the man hit her while she was trying to close the front door. When officers arrived at the home, they learned that the woman had an active protection order against the man, who appeared to be drunk.

While the man was in jail, he received an additional charge for criminal mischief after purposely flooding a toilet by placing an unknown item into it and flushing it.A set of keys was found at Quarry Park North and turned over to police Aug. 13. They learned that the two had been staying at a friend’s home because they had no electricity at their homes due to a recent storm.
She believed that they were stolen by a group of juveniles because the phone was pinging in the parking lot where they were huddled, and the group had bumped into her in the store while running around.
