A man died Monday night after a firearm he was trying to clear discharged at a Fort Worth gun range, police say.
Officers were dispatched about 8:50 p.m. to the Shoot Smart gun range in the 10400 block of North Freeway, where they found a man suffering a gunshot wound to the head.The man, who was not identified, was treated by medical personnel at the scene but was pronounced dead at 9:06 p.m., according to police.Witnesses said the man had a firearm malfunction and was attempting to unload it when the firearm discharged, striking him in the forehead.
