Argument leads to shooting at Southeast Side pediatric clinic
San Antonio police examine the scene of a shooting on Monday afternoon outside Almouie Pediatrics, 2316 S.E. Military Drive.A man is in surgery and another is in custody after a shooting in the parking lot of a Southeast Side pediatric clinic.
The incident began after a woman, with her brother’s help, took her children at about 11 a.m. to Almouie Pediatrics, 2316 S.E. Military Drive, San Antonio police said. At some point, a man — whom an officer described as the woman’s common-law husband — began tampering with her brother’s car, police on the scene said.The man did not realize the woman and her brother were sitting in the car, police said.
The brother confronted the man and fired a single shot, wounding the man in the torso, investigators said. The wounded man was taken to Brooke Army Military Medical Center in critical condition, a preliminary report states.
