A Keyport resident injured in the shooting is in stable condition, the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office said.
A 26-year-old was charged with attempted murder after shooting and injuring another man in Keansburg on Tuesday morning.
Yacir James, of Keansburg, was also charged with two weapons offenses after shooting a Keyport resident once at about 9 a.m. in the area of Maplewood Avenue and Highland Boulevard, the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office said Wednesday. The victim was brought to an area hospital to be treated and is stable condition. James is being held at the Monmouth County jail ahead of a first appearance, according to jail records.Anyone with information is asked to call Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office Det.
