A majority of registered Democrats say they want JoeBiden to be their party’s nominee in the 2024 elections, according to a new poll.
More than half of Democratic voters say they want Biden to be at the top of their 2024 ticket, compared to 42% who said they would prefer someone else, according to the latest Emerson College poll released on Tuesday. The most recent numbers come as Biden has yet to announce whether he plans to run for reelection, with Democrats anxiously waiting to see how the presidential primary field will shape up.
Former President Donald Trump is the only candidate so far to announce a White House bid, but several other Republicans are expected to follow suit — setting the stage for what is likely to be a contentious GOP primary.
