BERLÍN — El presidente Emmanuel Macron inició el domingo la primera visita de Estado de un mandatario francés a Alemania en 24 años, una gira de tres días con el objetivo de subrayar los fuertes lazos entre las máximas potencias por tradición de la Unión Europea de cara a las elecciones al Parlamento Europeo, en que partidos ultraderechistas de ambas naciones esperan concretar avances.
La visita de Macron mientras Alemania celebra el 75to aniversario de su Constitución tras el fin de la Segunda Guerra Mundial y a unos meses del 35to aniversario de la caída del Muro de Berlín en noviembre próximo es una “prueba de lo arraigada que es la amistad entre Francia y Alemania”, señaló Steinmeier.
