The next chance of rain really doesn’t arrive until Tuesday of next week.

MONTGOMERY, Ala. - Here comes the much-discussed June cold front this morning! As a result of its passage, the humidity will drop through the day. The humidity will then remain on the low side tonight and tomorrow. Not only that, but rain and storm chances will be non-existent through the start of next week.

The cold front won’t do much to afternoon temperatures with highs still reaching the lower 90s in most places each day through Monday. Sunday and Monday will the hottest days with Montgomery reaching 94° Sunday and 92° Monday.get a nice and comfortable night or two though! Tonight we’re going to drop all the way down into the lower 60s! Some upper 50s in rural and sheltered areas are a good bet.

Saturday night won’t be quite as cool or comfortable, but lows will still be tolerable in the middle 60s. All good things must come to an end, and that will be true in this case as somewhat higher humidity levels are set to return Saturday night and remain with us into next week. It won’t be as muggy as it has been this week though. The increase in humidity will likely support at least a chance of showers and thunderstorms Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. No guaranteed rain here, though at least some hit-or-miss showers and thunderstorms are expected each of those days. High temperatures will top out generally in the upper 80s heading through next week. Low temperatures will be typical in the upper 60s and lower 70s.
