A 20-month-old sheepadoodle named Brooklyn was stuck for nearly a day on a frozen New Jersey lake. On Christmas Eve, she ran from her dogsitter onto the lake and refused any attempts to coax her back from the treacherous thin ice. Kishan Patel, who lives on the lake, tried to help with his drone. He said, 'And that made me want to help out even more. Just because I can imagine what the owner must be going through.
' Police officers used weights to gauge the ice thickness and safely made their way out to spook the dog, causing her to run back to shore. The dog got scared off the ice and it ran into someone's front porch where it was eventually found.
