Además, se introdujeron reformas mayoritariamente alabadas sobre derechos indígenas y de género y otras que, más que servir como marco general de gobierno, son políticas de partido: los populares programas sociales o la cuestionada utilidad de prohibir el fentanilo o los vapeadores en la Carta Magna.Si hay una política donde Sheinbaum no apostó por la continuidad es en la de seguridad aunque los efectos de este cambio tardarán en dar resultados.
La politóloga Georgina de la Fuente considera que se ha enfatizado la coordinación interinstitucional y la inteligencia. Pero De la Fuente cree que el problema más serio es la falta de fondos porque las fuertes presiones al gasto público han supuesto importantes recortes al presupuesto en seguridad.
