Notre Dame transfer Lorenzo Styles Jr. has his black stripe removed after just 12 practices as a cornerback at Ohio State.
While Styles has two years of experience as a college football player at Notre Dame, he’s in his first year playing cornerback after making the switch with his transfer to Ohio State this summer. Even so, Styles has expressed determination to prove he can make an immediate impact on the Buckeyes’ defense.
“I think if I keep working and keep staying on the track that I’m on, I will see the field this year,” StylesStyles becomes the third player to join the Buckeyes as a transfer this summer who has already lost his black stripe, joining former San Diego State offensive tackle Jimmy Simmons and former Ole Miss defensive tackle Tywone Malone. None of the freshmen who enrolled in the summer have had their stripes removed yet.
