A Code Red lockdown has been lifted at Oakleaf High School after a student reported seeing another student with a firearm on campus.
Boyack said in the first call that the person who reportedly had the firearm is detained.“Good Afternoon Parents and Guardians,
“This is Principal Boyack of Oakleaf High School. I am calling to notify you that our campus is on a code red lockdown out of an abundance of caution as the administration team was made aware that one of our students has allegedly seen another student with a firearm on campus. Again, we are on a code red lockdown out of an abundance of caution. I can share that the person accused is detained and the administration and the school resource officer are investigating.
Boyack also told parents in the second call that “Clay County District Schools Police Department has students of interest in custody” after the firearm was discovered on campus.
