A big birthday celebration on the Eastern Shore. This is actually our 2nd year in a row to blow out the candles with Louis Benvenuto -- a former network cameraman -- he had a long career working on all the big shows -- including The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson.

“When I was going to retire -- there were 13 cameramen who wanted that spot. . Lee: They were waiting for it? -- Lou:Yeah . “Lee: How does this feel today? -- Lou: It feels super! -- Lee: Eell, you look great! -- Lou: Thank you -- I’ve been feeding the mouth pretty good... With ice cream. Lee: Oh, ice cream -- that’s your secret? -- Lou: That’s one of my secrets.”“Heidi: He said to lift something heavy every day. Lee: Lift something heavy... And you said well into his 90s he was chopping wood? -- Heidi: Yes, chopping wood -- that was basically his exercise -- as my uncle still does actually.
“Jan: What are the shows you remember? -- Gary: Dina Shore, Perry Como, Nat King Cole, then there was the kid shows -- some game shows... And shows we never went to. Johnny Carson of course. Jan: That was later. He would tape us off the seats so we could just stroll up there -- and oh and we felt like VIPs .”
