Mount Morris, N.Y. — The dialysis center inside the Livingston County Center for Nursing & Rehabilitation is closing.
Wyoming County Community Health System announced Tuesday the clinic on Murray Hill Drive in Mount Morris, which opened in 2022, will be closing because of ongoing staffing challenges and financial losses.“Operating a small dialysis clinic in a rural location has proven to be extremely challenging," Wyoming County Community Health System CEO David Kobis said in a statement. "Finding and retaining sufficient qualified staff to ensure safe patient care is our most critical priority.
The health system submitted a closure plan with the state and will assist in finding alternative treatment locations for current patients.
