A 29-year-old firefighter faces a driving while intoxicated charge in connection with a crash earlier this month on the Northeast Side . He identified himself as a Live Oak Firefighter to officers at the scene.

He then was taken to the Schertz Police Department, where he had a blood alcohol content of .12 and .119, records show. Both readings are over the legal limit of .08 in Texas.
