It's wild to think that the title of It Was 50 Years Ago Today springs from the"20 years ago today" line on, while the two albums to which the tour pays tribute came out 57 and 56 years ago respectively. Which is testimony to the timeless nature of the Beatles' music. As further testimony, the package includes a host of well-known names performing the tunes, among them San Antonio native Christopher Cross, longtime pop maverick Todd Rundgren and Denny Laine of Wings.
