To add insult to injury, the story about Keller ISD banning books in an obvious response to Rep. Matt Krause’s list. It is no coincidence that your paper’s examination of some of the titles on the list were by women, people of color or LBGT authors. Second, there is a dire shortage of care attendants, which the Legislature again did little to address by increasing the base wage for attendants to a mere $8.11. Texans are forced into costly medical, behavioral and family crises before being able to receive support.
So much for all those claims by Gov. Greg Abbott and others that being off the national grid results in lower electricity rates for Texans.Re: “Texans support border policy — Though he is criticized nationally, Abbott continues to win approval in the state, to the tune of 51%,” Monday news story.
