“Our children deserve better.” Thank you, Jill Biden. We have raised a generation of children who know they can be shot and killed while at their schools. As of Monday, 129 mass shootings in America in 2023 and this is only March.

This is where we are again — watching our precious children, holding hands, being evacuated from their school to a safe place. Most of the letter writers in this section were very anti-gun. I’ve never lied about my views on the Second Amendment, so I have different views on gun violence. The universal background checks will affect law-abiding gun owners only. One idea I fully support is adults must be made to keep their firearms secured from children. Should a minor get access to a gun, then the parent should be charged with a felony.

Since we are never going to ban guns in America, there are ways to make them safer. Congress knows what they are, but will not pass the legislation. We can get rid of those members of Congress.
