'Democrats and independents can do their part by registering as Republicans before March 31 and coalescing around a single candidate in the primary,' writes Richard Steiner.
It seems to me the best way to defeat Lee is to keep him off the ballot. That task requires a joint effort by anti-Lee Republicans, anti-Lee independents and Democrats. That there is a large anti-Lee Republican population is evidenced by the fact that at least four people have stepped up to challenge him for the nomination.
I urge these candidates and all their supporters to work together to pick the strongest candidate to appear on the ballot. The others withdrawing, so that Lee does not win because those of his own party opposing him have split their vote. Through true bipartisan cooperation Utah can force Sen. Lee to keep his original promise of only serving two terms!
