LeBron, at age 39, said he feels "damn good" at Lakers media day on Monday as he prepares for his record-tying 22nd NBA season. It was June 26, 2003, when the Cleveland Cavaliers drafted Akron-born phenom prospect LeBron James, charting a new path forward for the NBA in the wake of Michael Jordan’s dominant era.
James’ upcoming 22nd NBA season will tie Vince Carter for the most seasons played in NBA history. It also will be markedly different from any of his previous 21 seasons in the league.
“I feel damn good,” said LeBron, who will turn 40 in December. “I had a great summer. I feel really good physically. Mentally, I feel really good. Really sharp. Very fresh. Looking forward to getting to work tomorrow.
