Two former coworkers remember Lebanon City Police Lieutenant William Lebo, one day after he was killed in the line of duty during a domestic call.

Dan Gleiter | [email protected] were the last words Greg Holler said to Lebanon City Police Lieutenant William Lebo when lifelong friends and former coworkers saw one another on the street.
“I can only imagine he was cool, calm and collected that day,” Holler said. “Bill had such excellent control.” Lebanon Mayor Bob Anspach, congratulates William Lebo on his promotion on July 9, 2002, to sergeant as Chief William Harvey and Lebo's daughter, Corinne. Lebo was attacked while on duty a week earlier week, resulting in two broken ankles. Lebo was subsequently killed in the line of duty on March 31, 2022, a month before he was set to retire.The assailant jumped out of the van and tried to wrest Lebo’s gun from him.
“He was kind, and was quick to answer all my questions. I really enjoyed working with him.” Rutter said.
