They’ll start with the clandestine origins, track the art form to its glamorous heyday and end with today’s established presence.
Despite the titillating assumption of strippers, burlesque is a type of variety show that is provocative and comedic. Glamorously costumed performers engage in dance, slapstick skits and song.
