) - L.E.A.D. Academy is set to create a second campus that will serve as a dedicated high school . The academy announced Tuesday, April 7, that is has purchased the building formerly home to Whitfield Memorial Methodist Church . The old church will soon be converted into a new space just for L.E.A.D. Academy ’s 9th grade - 12th grade students. The school currently serves students in pre-k through 11th grades, with its first graduating class in the upcoming 2026-27 school year.

“Our mission has always been to build leaders by engaging scholars, focusing on high achievement, and developing the whole child,” said Superintendent Erik Estill. “This new high school facility allows us to further that mission by creating a space tailored specifically to the needs of our high school scholars as they prepare for life beyond graduation.”

The new campus will include modern classrooms, technology-integrated learning spaces, and dedicated areas for Career and Technical Education programs. “This investment represents our belief in the potential of our scholars and our commitment to the community,” said Board Chair Liz Hill. “We are especially excited to expand access to CTE pathways that will equip our scholars with real-world skills and meaningful career opportunities.”

L.E.A.D. Academy will share a transition timeline and enrollment opportunities when they become available in the coming months. Not reading this story on the WSFA News App? Get news alerts FASTER and FREE in the
