¿Las vacunas contra la influenza y contra el COVID-19 se pueden administrar al mismo tiempo?
A través de varios anuncios publicitarios, las autoridades de salud buscan llegar a casi un tercio de los millones de latinos y afroamericanos, que están indecisos a inocularse contra la influenza por tener dudas sobre cómo la inyección contra la influenza interactúa con las vacunas contra el COVID-19.
El presidente de la AMA, Gerald E. Harmon, indicó que con los casos de COVID-19 aun alarmantemente altos en medio de la propagación de la variante delta, vacunarse contra la influenza ayudará a proteger a las personas de enfermedades, hospitalizaciones y muertes. “Lo que sí sabemos es que las vacunas contra la influenza y el COVID-19 pueden prevenir muchas enfermedades, hospitalizaciones y muertes. Los CDC están haciendo esfuerzos adicionales para fomentar la inmunización entre las personas de grupos minoritarios raciales y étnicos, que históricamente han tenido tasas de vacunación contra la influenza más bajas”, comentó.
