Lam reports fiscal first-quarter earnings after Wednesday’s closing bell
When Lam Research Corp. reports earnings after Wednesday’s closing bell, analysts will be looking to see if the company expects the wafer-fab-equipment market to bottom by the end of the year, and at how much growth management projects for next year.
Lam makes the very complicated clean-room machinery used by foundries like Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. TSM, -1.42% to process the silicon for chips designed by Nvidia Corp. NVDA, -3.54% and Apple Inc. AAPL, -0.04%. “We do not see a major impact from the 13 new Chinese companies added to the export entity list yesterday similar to peer ASML comments,” Citi Research analyst Atif Malik said in a note Wednesday before the earnings report.
