Lake Creek softball tops Frisco Heritage to advance to 5A championship
AUSTIN — With a slew of experience on its side, Lake Creek was not going to be intimidated by the intensity of the state tournament. The Lions were instead locked in from the first pitch and are now just one triumph away from defending their coveted throne.
Brown allowed three hits and one walk while striking out 10 batters in a complete-game effort as the Lions supplied her with plenty of run support. Lake Creek was presented a difficult test at the plate against Heritage senior pitcher Jensin Hall, a Dartmouth signee who has more than 900 career strikeouts and posted a 0.26 ERA during the regular season.
