Even though it's been a while since those days, the stadium has remained active, and NASCAR recently took over its management leading to the return in 2025. Kyle Larson is one of the big names heading into this race. Though he hasn't raced in the NASCAR Cup Series at Bowman Gray before, he has plenty of good memories of the place. Larson remembered visiting the stadium and being a fan in the stands. He said during an interview with Sportsnaut: 'I don't remember much about the race but I remember I went into the stands to watch the Modifieds afterwards and that was my first time just being a fan there and it was everything I was hoping it would be. 'I had watched the Madhouse documentary thing and the crowd was rowdy. We went back once or twice since then but the crowd was really crazy that night so I hope it's like that.' Fellow NASCAR driver Alex Bowman also commented on the legendary track: 'I went to a race there one day, the year we ran K&N, I just wanted to go see it the weekend before. I had never seen a pace car driver get flipped off until Bowman Gray. It was pretty cool.' The atmosphere at Bowman Gray is expected to be electric, given its reputation. The tight track works perfectly for the Busch Clash, which is known for aggressive racing. In the past, the stadium's layout has led to many crashes, adding to its notoriety as 'The Madhouse.
